As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare year-end accounts (FRS 102 1A and FRS 105), management accounts, and VAT returns
Assist with corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
Complete bookkeeping, CIS returns, payroll, and pension submissions as needed
Maintain working papers and ensure reconciliations are accurate
Support clients with cloud software and digital record-keeping
Deliver advisory services such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Keep up to date with UK accounting and tax regulations
ACA / ACCA / AAT part-qualified or newly qualified
2–3 years of experience within UK accountancy practice
Confident preparing accounts for SMEs, freelancers, and limited companies
Familiar with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Dext)
Excellent communication and time management skills
Proactive, tech-savvy, and able to work independently
Keen to grow with the firm and embrace modern accounting practices
4-day working week with full-time pay
